Effect of Bedding Systems on Hygiene and Milk Yield of Crossbred Dairy Cows

In dairy cattle, bedding and its management contribute predominantly to the comfort of cow, udder health milk quality. The aim study is assess effect different materials such as concrete floor, rubber mats, coir pith dried solid manure on hygiene yield in crossbred cows. Twenty-four cows with six animals each group were selected for one lactation period spread over three seasons. control (T1) was maintained floor without any material. (T2) mats 1.2 m × 1.8 0.025m area provided floor. (T3) (T4) (DSM) bedding. mean tail head, upper rear limb, ventral abdomen, lower limb score T1 higher than other groups, which indicated that became ‘dirty’ T3 had others denoted ‘very clean’ significant difference (P<0.01) between them. range T2 revealed ‘average dirty’ whereas T4 ‘clean average’. improved during summer season reduced monsoon. lowest overall daily (8.66 ± 0.22 kg) while highest (9.98 0.30 kg).
